Manna Dey sang for Mehmood. Kishore Kumar sang for himself though in the movie they are trying
to trick Saira Banu & Mehmood into thinking that Sunil Dutt is the one singing. Sunil Dutt/Kishore Kumar beat Mehmood
in the competition which had to happen since Sunil Dutt was the hero in the movie and Mehmood was the comedian. However, it
was a recognized fact that Manna Dey was the better classical singer since Kishore Kumar was not trained as a classical singer.
